Proteomics

A folder for Proteomics projects

My active research projects involving frontline workers and COVID-19 using proteomics are listed below:

  • Serum Proteomics in high-exposure individuals to novel COVID-19: Normal vs. Long-COVID
    • aims: to investigate differences in the proteome for frontline and healthcare workers afflicted with long COVID as compared to those with normal COVID-19 before, during, and after infection.
    • data source: the Arizona Healthcare, Emergency Response, and Other Essential Workers Surveillance Study (AZ HEROES)
    • contribution: led statistical analyses & drafted manuscript & publication
    • status: manuscript in preparation
  • Serum Proteomics in Omicron SARS-CoV-2 breakthrough: a nested case-control study within a prospective cohort of frontline workers from eight locations in the United States (US).
    • aims: to investigate differences in frontline workers’ proteomic profiles comparing those with breakthrough infection and those without.
    • data source: the Arizona Healthcare, Emergency Response, and Other Essential Workers Surveillance Study (AZ HEROES)
    • contribution: proteomics analysis
    • status: manuscript in preparation
